Bacardi Spiced Rum: Our Personal Take

We will be honest here, Bacardi was not the first name that came to mind when it comes to sipping rums, we normally use it as a mixer. However, Bacardi Spiced Rum won us over after finally sampling it alone. Bacardi Spiced Rum was creamy on the palate and finished stronger than expected with a pleasant mild burn that roared with cinnamon and even a bit of smoke from the barrel aging.

There are some subtle hints of darker dried fruits and nuts hidden in the flavor profile. We won’t pretend to tell you it is a supremely complex elixir worthy of hoarding for the finest events, but there is far more to the taste than expected. Once we enjoyed a second and third sip, the sweetness of the blend came on stronger than hoped for, but that is common with many spiced rums.

Rum Reviewer’s Final Thoughts

Could you find a stronger spiced rum? Could you find a more intriguing flavor profile? Sure you could. But we are not so sure you could find such a good spiced rum for such an acceptable price point. Bacardi Spiced Rum strikes a great balance for a flavorful sipping spiced rum for those looking to enjoy it on ice or spice up their simple cocktails.
